THE ESTATE

HISTORY OF THE ESTATE
Philippe ORION created the estate at the place called "La Barbinière" in 1978 with 2 hectares of vines, inherited from his father, Louis.
His two sons, Vincent and Alban, after studying viticulture and oenology in Blanquefort, and various stays in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, took over the estate in 2005.
After 20 years of efforts, Chantonnay was finally recognized in 2011 as the new Fiefs Vendéens AOC .
Its distinctive feature: it has the greatest diversity of terroirs , due to the carboniferous fault of Chantonnay.
Since 2018, the estate has been in Organic Agriculture and covers 30 hectares.
